The plot? You must create building blocks, which are equivalent to a straight line of blocks. In other words, it's the objective of the game.

the bricks fall and form a line and vanish if done correctly. This until you win or loose. That's the plot. The interactive part just alters the outcome or what happens for the duration of the plot.

i don't think you're a bad guy.......everyones got their opinion........just don't get your beef with the traditional game thing....

There's a plot, it's just not a story. Or are you saying that Sports and Racers don't count as video games or something?

Ehm you describe the gameplay and call it plot, which is actually the user generated story ... there is absolutely no plot in Tetris. Winning or loosing Tetris doesn't create plot. It creates a story for you to tell which happened inside the Tetris mechanics but Tetris on it's own have absolutely plot. Wich absoluteley eliminates the idea of Tetris beeing a interactive movie b/c movies have plots.

There is plot in some racing games ofc like F-Zero or the later NFS games.

The objective of the game is the plot. I said "even if it's very, very simple".

Bottom line: Heavy Rain is a game for people who want movie-like experiences.

i have not been to interested in the development of heavy rain.

I can describe Heavy Rain in one sentence: Sims meets Point and Click meets CSI. And i dislike all three of those. So actually it's not even an interactive movie, it's an interactive drama/crime tv series. Witch is even worse LOL.

If this takes off then it will be step towards maturing the video game industry closer to the level of the movie industry.

I think people may be getting carried away with the choices part. Developer says this is a free choice section. In other words my impression was that there will be plenty of linear moments. This scene seemed insignificant to the main story, so choices like eating or homework are easy to implement.

I personally cant wait for the game though. Relax in bed and play. One thing though, I thought it would look alot closer to CGI than it does. I was actually a little let down on graphics front of this latest footage. Water from the tap, chairs in the living room. Wood on art desk etc. Also lots of visible polygons. Rough edges, not rounded, where you can see the triangles of the models. Regardless it does still look nice. But it's not in my top 3 best PS3 graphics anymore.

Still, after finishing Uncharted 1 and MGS4 on my new PS3 Slim at Xmas should be looking to get this.
