No the 360 catalogue is more spreaded into the PC than PS3's one.

Yeah, but overall the total amount of true 360 exclusives is about the same as the total PS3 true exclusives.  They share ~95% of their libraries with each other and PC.

Are you sure?  I've always assumed that, if you discount 360/PC titles 360 would have less exclusives.  I'm not doubting you, I just didn't realize that might not be the case.  I buy all Valve games on Steam, and get stuff like Mass Effect on PC, too.  So, smaller jRPGs and some stuff like Lips, I always felt there was little left exclusive to 360 apart from Halo, Gears 2, Fable 2, etc.

On PS3 I figure there's God of War, Ratche titles, possible Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper, GT, Team ICO stuff, etc.  It just seems Sony has more exclusive IPs still untapped vs MS to me.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

@ Reasonable

I share the same opinion as you.

While PC doesn't have or is yet to see GoW2, Halo 3, Fable 2, etc, it has the previous games on the series and nothing is hinding developers to pull out PC versions of this games, unless microsoft pays them to wether do it or not to do it.

Microsoft games can always and in most of the cases they find a home on PC gaming. Sony 1st party PS3 exclusives are not getting PC versions for 100% shure.

I think from now on the majority and soon all 360 exclusives will begin to be just 360 exclusives, with PC exclusives moving to multiplat with consoles (much like Crysis).  Piracy is ruining PC gaming and developers want to go where it is a bit more protected (consoles).

@Reasonable, I'm pretty sure if we start from the beginning of the generation and count all the 360 exclusives not on PC they equal Sony's true exclusives.  I don't want to dig for hours, but since the 360 has like 200+ more total games than the PS3 it has to have the same or more "true" exclusives in there somewhere.

Yeah no joke.  What a solid argument.

You want to know my basis for thinking that?  Because of all the major upcoming 360 exclusives in the next year or so, only 2 have a PC counterpart.  That's pretty darn good and I'm sure in the future it will only improve (since Gears 2 didn't go to PC, Halo 3 didn't, Fable 2 didn't, etc, and all these had previous games on PC but sequels were not, piracy to blame).

I don't mind that everything is going multi-plat these days. That's how things should be ideally for the consumer. I've no interest in going out and getting every system out there just because each system has something interesting. Generally whenever I see a 3 console + 2 handheld + gaming PC owner, their software attach rates are often low or below average for some of their consoles. It's pretty much a fact of life that multi-system owners are going to neglect some of their consoles unless they are really hardcore into gaming. I think it's more worth it to have less consoles but more extensive libraries than to have your library spread out among many consoles and to see them getting neglected. If you have 3 consoles, 2 portables and gaming rig and you're OK with neglecting some of your consoles, that's fine. But if I had a small little library for a console or handheld, I feel like I didn't get my money's worth and that the purchase was a mistake in the first place. Because there's lots of overlap between the 360 and PS3, I don't feel like I need more than one out of the two. They don't really have their own identity in the way that a DS does (DS is my favorite system). I might get a Wii because it's a bigger contrast than the PS3 but that's about it. PSP has a great library but so does my DS so I don't really feel bad about passing on it.

Plus I can only think of one big Xbox exclusive that is coming out next year that has a PC release. Though more than likely Half-Life 2: Episode 3 will also be released next year on both the 360 and PC.

So that makes Mechwarrior and Half-Life that are going to be on both of them. Though I could be wrong

I hated last gen.

I had to get a gamecube for the games I wanted the most, and then seeing how all of the games I did not want the most but still wanted went to the PS2 was frustrating.

the best generation was the 16-bit one, when all the good games could be found on one console. And just as good games could be found on another only cheaper.

I LOVE ICELAND!
