LOL...
Valkyria Chronicles is worth your time to try out and you can get it for $20 at Walmart. Can't go wrong for $20.
Also, Tekken 6 is coming out soon and if you like VF5, then you should love Tekken 6.
Uncharted 2 is great...Heavenly Sword was a blast, but short...
What genres do you usually enjoy? You might enjoy Ratchet and Clank...
If you enjoy JRPGs just hold steady, they're coming! You'll soon have White Knight Chronicles (which looks stellar), Tales of Vesperia, Star Ocean 4, Resonance of Fate, and Final Fantasy XIII...they'll be out before you know it.

If you don't like Little Big Planet, I don't really know what to say for you.
The platforming style that the game uses is very, very close to a Nintendo platformer. A lot of Wii fans would love to have this game on their system. Have you actually tried playing it yet? The gameplay is as pure as it gets for a 2D platformer; it's very simple to play, too.
Here's an idea: Make a list of games you really enjoy for you other systems that you really like a lot. That way we can have a better idea of what you are looking for.

I know this is not really on topic but any former sega person should find some amazing games on Xbox live arcade. Splosion Man, Castle crashers, Braid... I'm sure PSN has some good ones as well...jsut look for DLC games rather than retail bought games.

That wasn't very nice.
OT: I think you bought the wrong console.
A Wii sounds more like your style.
Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!
Kojima: Come out with Project S already!
From the sounds of things, it sounds like you don't like current games; or rather shooters on analogue. And you don't enjoy beat em ups like Ninja Gaiden. I suggest Time Crisis 4, arcade fun, and the first person shooter mode is decent enough. Super Street Fighter 4 when it comes out. Like others have mentioned Tekken 6 is coming out very soon. Metal Gear Solid 4 might be a bit easier on you for a shooter since it has auto aim option, that you have to turn on. Download the Ratchet and Clank demo and if that interests you enough, Quest for Booty should give you an idea on how it plays and will only cost you 15 bucks; though it is rather short (You get what you pay for). And check the networks and see what arcade style games are out there as that seems to suit your tastes better. Flower might be in your interests.
