I agree...
It seems that the only reason threads continue is because two people argue about something subjective, like when people confuse opinions with facts, and the replies eventually stop discussing the thread topic in their replies and turn into insults.
no they are not as good as say 1 or 2 years ago
but with growth, problems arise.

Honestly, the forums are essentially the same they were last year only with different people. I'm sorry your nostalgia is kicking in and you are getting disenchanted with reality. For every thread you link in the forums now that is "flamebait thread" I can link you to another just as bad thread from last year.
This feeling grows more and more the longer you go to a message board. It happens everywhere, not just VGChartz.

Hey, thanks for quoting something I never said and then criticizing me for it.
The forums always become a little iffy near a big exclusive release and even more so this time of year when there are a lot of big exclusive releases. Give it until February or so and we'll be safe until E3...

I use to comment all the time on Kotaku too but I was finished with it when they started hiding people that weren't recommended or whatever they call it. That's just one of the dumbest systems they have there that I've ever seen.
vgc forums are just as awesome as they've always been. Seriously, VGC is one of the best forums around.
