Forums - Nintendo - Malstrom's gonna hate this...

I predict more DLC and user generated content in the future - and given both are fairly emergent right now, and the videogame industry (economic downturn excepted) is on a growth path overall, it's pretty obvious you're going to see more of most anything that has an audience and not less.

Also, somedays it will rain, and some it won't.

Also, I'm sure Miyamoto took notice of the fun element for many in LBP sharing and playing levels and saw how well it could fit the Nintendo staples such as Mario.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

You are correct!

@Montana: Actually, according to Malstrom, his site has been growing in popularity lately. His readers doesn't necessarily have to be people posting on gaming boards.

It has been growing (somewhat), but it's at such an inconsequential traffic rank that it would be like saying your garage band's website is growing in popularity. At the pathetic level Malstrom's site is at, there aren't many places to go but up.

Malstrom's Traffic Rank: 512,120

And for comparison, the Vgchartz traffic rank: 6,727

So yeah, not too impressed.

Where's a reaction image and green text when I need it.

Seriously, your post makes no sense as your saying he's not that popular yet his traffic rate is better then the site you are compairing. Not the best plan you've ever had, that's for sure. Plus, I think he's popular enough when something Miyamoto says immidiatly goes to Malstrom.

I would change that to "Focus on making classics instead of big, expensive productions. Make games that are fun and lasting instead of going to the used game stores."

I do still play my PS2 GTA games, because they are lasting for me. I'm not sure if GTA IV would do the same.

You mean, the quote should say that, or my quote is wrong? He has stated that quote several different time with varying degrees of silliness in at least 2 articles.

GTAIV is a must for GTA fans, however, it doesn't hold nearly the same kind of experience as they did before. I think it's dramatically better than the old ps2 ones (except Vice city, which I think is the best one) , but I'm kinda bored with GTA by now.

I'll tell you whats the fatal flaw of GTA IV, since I played it. For one thing, the missions are LONG DRIVE before you goto your destination. And the sandbox free roam isnt as fun as it used to be. remember the pay and spray? The purpose of it was null/void because the only thing you must do to avoid the cops was to get away from the red thingy on the map. And the cops will not follow you. The realistic visuals of it are too realistic to be a sandbox game, the comical aspect of GTA wasnt there anymore.

I think GTA san andreas was the pinnacle of GTA, nothing can top that. Most of Rockstar did in the series are spinoffs. GTA chinatown wars was much better

I agree that content is king, but not which content is king (except for Mario).

I agree that Wii Music faltered more to lack of content than hardcore hate.

I don't agree that Nintendo doesn't know what they are doing. They just are experimenting, and what doesn't work, they either stop doing (the graphical race) or adjusting until it does work (Expanding SMB1 with Mario Lost Levels vs expanding with Super Mario 3), which is what they are doing here.

Sorry for offtopic but OH MY my predictions came true! D: Look at my sig.

As for the topic so lordoftheknight was more credible than malstrom? What did he analyzed and predicted that are true? Wanna know or only on this thread?

And yeah about the price cut thing Malstrom was right! Theres no large spike of sales of the Wii since the pricecut

There are spikes. Tripling in Japan is one. It's just they need hit games to sustain it.
