Forums - General - Does Universal Healthcare include Illegal Immigrants?

I am really surprise of the comments of the people.

No, illegal immigrants shouldn't get free healthcare from the universal plan.

You do realize that even if they aren't covered, they can go to the ER and get treated, and that still costs you, where do you think hospitals shift the costs to, possibly even more than it would giving them healthcare to begin with

Send a bill to their country of origin, IMO.

And then countries like China send us a bill for all the trillions we owe them

Seriously though, trying to recoup the money wouldn't work, either way there is going to be a healthcare cost, smartest way is to either extend minimal healthcare coverage to illegals, or to allow those illegals to become legal residents and citizens

The smartest way would be for the government to get the fuck out of every other area of life that it's currently trying to control when it has no business doing so (the War on Drugs, the War on Lightbulbs, the War on Cheerios, etc.) and to focus instead on the few things it's actually supposed to do, like defending our territorial integrity.

Actually government does have a role to play in a lot of aspects of our life, in fact if not for the government role, our economy would have collapsed a year ago

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Er... the government caused the problem in the first place.

And whatever disaster they've managed to forestall, they have only continued to exacerbate in the long term.

No more than predatory lending and over-leveraging and taking on too much debt by consumers and private companies lack of regulation of shadow banking, like I said don't just take what the right wing sites tell you about the crises, lending institutions didn't have to give out loans to people who had no income and no jobs, they did it because they thought the market would keep going up and wanted to cash in, and people wanto get the loans for the same reason this wasn't the government forcing it

Universe healthcare can conver illegal immigrants, but it doesnt have to. Since there are American citizens that are not covered by the current plan, its obvious that illegal immigrants will be left out too since they have no personal verification of being included in the plan when they go to hospitals.

Illegal immigrants will continue to recieve free care (by free I mean not paying the bill) from hospitals just as they currently do.

Instead, just take what the left wing news sites tell you?

The problem was everyone. The door was opened by the government subsidizing homes loans for those that banks would never have given loans to if the government didn't pay them to do it.

How that can not be blamed on the government in your eyes, is beyond me.
