This year Wii won't reach 2008 levels, but my guts say it WILL in 2010. Oh yes.

I have to laugh when some people claim that freakin Uncharted 2 is going to boost PS3 sales but that the successor to quite possibily the most popular gaming franchise OF ALL TIME coming out 15 years after its predesecor, is not going to move a significant amount of Wiis.

I'll tell you one thing right now, if NSMB Wii doesn't move a lot of Wiis, Nintendo might as well call it quits now and end the system's life early, because if a new 2-D Mario can't do it, NOTHING will.

Lets not go OVERBOARD with this

they are still outselling the comptition

& the mario audience could ALREADY be on wii.....I mean that can be a point in his favour.

Doubtful, the only games to get into the 2D Mario range are the Wii franchise titles

Looking good, the one factor 360 has going for it is, after it's price drop last year (excluding Japan) the PS3 didn't come close to U.S or Others sales for 360. 360 is already ahead of PS3 in America.

Japan will be better, but it's never going to be N.A/Others levels.

Just shows how badly the PS3 was doing earlier this year, even after the massive recent boost it is still down YOY YTD. The Wii is a disaster YOY YTD down almost 3.5m or 25%

Nintendo should've taken it easy 2008 and tried to sell a little bit less consoles, instead of selling magical numbers and placing them in a position where it's damn hard to do that again.

PS3 > 360 by 50K in others this week

that lead will only increase as the holidays in come

in NA you are right.....they will be equal or 360 will edge it out.

But OVERALL the HD systems will be so strong combined, 3rd Party devs will have NO REASON to stop developing for the behemoths!

I see where you are coming from

but you cannot compare a handheld & a console game

much has changed in the last 15 years

the question is, do people want to play a 2D mario sitting at home?

NSMB DS.....had a great appeal

not all games that do well on handhelds do well on consoles, & vice versa.
