i was thinking that it might some of the same effect as FFXIII demo had on PS3 in Japan in March? of this yr. number of consoles moved were quite a few with respect to the total software sales... So i m not expecting lot of software moving but quite a few ppl might be interested in playing it who are still on PS2...

But God of War isn't nearly as big a franchise in the US as Final Fantasy is in Japan. Also it had a special limited edition PS3 bundle and Final Fantasy Advent Children Complete sold a lot more than the God of War Collection most likely will.

Great numbers there for the PS3

Does anyone know if the Chart Track numbers in the UK have been running in line with what VGC have been posting for the region?

Reason i ask is because this week last year the PS3 sold 15k in UK and 95k in whole of Europe for that week. Meaning PS3 has sold only 9k more in the whole of europe year over year or 9%. And 4k more in UK then this time last year. and increase of almost 33%.

Meaning the increase in UK is 29% greater then that of the rest of europe.

So if VGC have that as accurate then that is superb sales for PS3 here in UK.

You speak as if NSMB Wii isn't enough on its own, but you forget that in Japan, there is also Crystal bearers, graces, a few others, WW there is Mario and Sonic, and some third party music games that may help, but NSMB is going to be the big driver, the others will just help to nudge more people towards the system

So you are essentially saying that this Holiday line-up consists of NSMBWii alone and that it's enough to push the Wii over last year levels.

Totally agree.. But i m not expecting 50-60k boast like the FF gave to PS3 in japan, just 10 - 20k.. and after all American market is much bigger so there r more chances of finding die hard fans. :$

No I'm saying NSMB is the big gun this year (there are other smaller guns), and may be enough to push the Wii over last year
