Edit: As in, it took her three weeks to die from cancer that killed her in thirty seconds. God that cutscene was awful.

The proposal scene was hilarious, Akiba crapping himself is key plot material and Naomi is just an attention seeker (^_^)

Definitely Ueda.

While I really really enjoyed Kojima's games, more or less, I absolutely loved Ueda's two efforts thus far. I'd only genuinely say that about a handful of games.
