Forums - Gaming - What is the failure rate for PSP & DS ?

Just curious to the failure rates of these two handhelds.  Ive never heard any statistics about them nor ever seen a post about it dying (just the same post of PS3/Xbox360 dying).  Anybody had any problems with any of the two?

I've had a DS lite and the L button stopped working, & my niece's DS lite wont turn on anymore (you turn on the switch and the screen just blinks and shuts back off).

Mine did not fall once until now.

Well, from the looks of it, the failure rate is:

PSP: 1
DS: 1

I have 4 DS's. 1 still works.....and it has a broken hinge. Two have non-functional top screens (they're pretty much GBA's, now). One won't turn on at all. My kid is really rough on video games.

My psp did get messed up but it's my own fault, or rather my cats for knocking it off the table when it was updating.

My psp analog pad broke twice already

Have a DS phat, bought on day one, and played hundreds hours with it : Never had any problems with the screens, or the buttons. I've never changed the battery, and I can play straight 6 hours before the red light.

Same thing with a GBA:SP. I have it since 2002 and it's still perfectly functionnal.
