This list would be much more agreeable if they didn't include numbers.

What made them so damn good?

I've seen two of these top 8 lists now and i'm already beginning to see how they work.

Sony/Sony franchises/affiliates occupying most of the best positions, pad out the middle with multi plats and throw in Nintendo and Microsoft properties at the ass end to show that they're really not fanboys.

Um, I don't know. The fact that they made/make great games and had the balls to push the gaming industry over the line. The only game that I didn't like made from Rockstar was Manhunt 2

GTAIV was definitely a step down though from GTA: SA.

And if all they can do is recycle the GTA concept over and over, why should they be on the list?

And they had the balls to make their games dark! There are games that did that before Grand Theft Auto.
