Well no doubt, since they were basicaly system sellers. But I think that MAFKKA was trying to say, that the game should be remembered for it's quality. Like people remember Tekken 3, Final Fantasy 7, Doom 2, Starcraft... games that become legends.

No Super Mario? No Tetris? No Pokemon? No Pacman? Actually those are real legends, even my dad who doens't know who's Link (I'm working on that) when sees a screen from Tetris or Pacman recognizes it! Probably those games are the ones that will be remembered longer than any other game.

Those were only examples, of course Tetris, Super Mario, Pokemon and Pacman are also legends, every generation had those and every generation will have them.

I just can't picture Wii Play and Wii Fit at their side.

Does it count if 99% of the Wii library is shovelware shit? The reason for Wii dominance is that everyone was amazed by the motion (gimicky) controlls at first (me included). Later most people realize, that the game offering and value / cost just ins't worth it. Unless they have no other console to play with, they usualy move on.

check my game list, my wii games list is bigger than my ps3 list. so no people do not move on. They adopt to a few systems for all their needs.

The fact that you felt the need to buy a PS3 suggests you did move on. This is the first gen where I've felt the need to buy more than 1 console. My cousins had a SNES I used to play on, then I got a PS1 (although was tempted by N64), PS2, then Wii. All previous gens I've managed to get by with 1 console and PC. This gen, even though its market leader, I felt the need to get a HD console and opted for a PS3 because the Wii was lacking in good 3rd party games.

Of all the traditional gamers I know, very few still play on their Wii, and many have sold them on e-bay in favour of either 360 or PS3. As far as I'm concerned I shouldn't have had to buy a second console.

Ah no. I have a ps1 and ps2 still, yet I played my N64 more nad my gamecube more. I just like gaming so I found good games on each system.

Wii sports has been dished out with the console since release! Imagine if any other console tried pulling that rediculous stunt. Want a PS3? Here, have Resistance 1! Bought a new 360? Have fun with Full Auto!

Official wii games =/= good games. Wii music is known to be an utter traversty of a game. I think the fact that the controller took 3 years to fix speaks of the consoles quality. As for the games, you should have included real games which can stand on their own in the gaming market, and not be dubbed as bad jokes, such as Mad World and No More Heros.

I filtered out games that sold less then 250,000. The Wii has 201 and the PS3 has 160. Wow that's not the same 200 game difference you mentioned in the OP!!

So while your Wii has 200 more games that sold at least 1 copy, it only has 40 more that sold 250k or more.
