@Fufinu,
so what? those are still only 4 games. and no, Ratchet is not an argument cause it's just few new levels and guns. it's like saying that ODST would be important(ie. game for fans of the series cause most of the people don't really give a damn).
4 action games don't mean good line-up - quality, quantity and variety means good line-up. personally i would consider it as the worst year for ps3 owners - if you're not into shooters and sandbox games you didn't have anything this year from ps3 exclusive except Demon Soul's. yes, i know people who have ps3, won't be picking up Uncharted 2 and didn't picked up Killzone 2 and Infamous either - even funnier is that the only game they will get this year will be Demon Soul's which they have to import cause it won't be released in europe.

This looks a lot like the JRPG argument a month or so ago. "This one doesn't count because of this, that one doesn't count because it is only in japan, that one doesn't count because it is similar to this. oh and that one also doesn't count because I don't think it should count."

A game is a game. L4D doesn't count because it is just new levels? Halo 3 ODST didn't count because it was just a new campaign and 1 new multiplayer mode and a disc with multiplayer stripped right off of Halo 3? Ninja Blade doesn't count because it is majority QTEs? Like in the RPG argument, Star Ocean doesn't count because it is going multiplatform?

What about MLB09 The Show? Does that not count because it is an update to MLB08?

I guess we should just stop playing games now.

That can easily be flipped. If you own a 360 and like 3rd person action/adventure, platformers, RPG, Baseball then they won't have anything to play this year.   Also Infamous and Killzone 2 don't just vanish because it is October. New owners still have a sandbox title and a shooter. So let us see here -

Platformer, Shooter, Sandbox, RPG, Baseball, Action/Adventure. That is just exclusives. You also want to get into the stupdi quality over quantity argument? PS3 has 4 AAA games this year alone according to that stupid standard and you know what else? All 4 games are of different genres. How is that for quality and variety?

You are such a hater.

I think both consoles had a good lineup this year, but I personally feel that the PS3 had a much better year.

*Yeah I may have sounded like a PS3 fanboy, but he just needed to be schooled.*

Erm, Star Ocean, Magna Carta, and Dragon Age don't count as RPGs? Just because they aren't exclusives, doesn't mean the 360 doesn't get them.

When did I say they don't count?

I was using an old Waron tactic from an old argument me and him had. One where he try to exclude ToV and Cross Edge from the PS3 list because they were multiplatform.

I know they are RPGs. I am just messing around.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

I agree with you man. That's one of the reasons I'm seriously considering selling my 360 and going PS3 only (its my sister who owns the wii). I was hoping for more good exclusives. Sure they have all the great multiplats which is nice though.

Personally, I've been happy with my 360 gaming opinions htis year, but that's msotly due to the multi-platforms, not hte exclusives, but don't get me wrong, I'm satisfied, and hte line-up is looking to be really sweet for 2010. I'm acutally able to go back and finish up games that had fallen off to the wayside.

Yeah i'm pretty picky when it comes to games.  I like epic single player games mostly since the only online game I deem worthy of playing is Halo 3 (which I spend the majority of my gaming time on)

And I don't Have GTA4 anymore so I could care less about the expansions.

If you like pretty epic single player games then you should definitely get Batman: AA, and maybe even Fallout 3 GOTY Edition.

I actually got each DLC pack for Fallout 3 right when they came out, I love that game (even though its been half a year and I still haven't beaten it)

So Batman: AA has a really good single player experience eh?  What is the game like (shooting, beat em up, stuff like that?)

Beat em up,  puzzle solving, detective work.  Stuff like that.   All of the epic villians are there, and Batman has a bunch of reaaly cool gadgets.  And he is a badass in the game.  You have to play through some parts with stealth.   In others you have a choice, you can just run in and beat the crap outta people, or pick them off on at a time and watch the remaining guys start to shit themselves.

Hmmm that does sound pretty good.  I think I'll have to give this a try sometime soon.  Thanks.

yeah, i know what you mean. the only game i bought so far this year is resident evil 5 and while good, is a bit of a letdown.

op is deluded, if you care much about exclusives then move to pc gaming, cause there ain't that many for consoles.

Star Ocean: Till the end of time

Halo Wars

Red Faction

Batman AA

Riddick

Halo 3 ODST

Blazblue

Resident Evil 5

Street Fighter IV

Bionic Commando

Why because i have an opinion?

How the hell did I forget about Dragon Age?  That game looks amazing

Last time I made a thread like this clever seece lured me into a ban. :/

I agree, ODST was disappointing.

and what have we learned from all these nonsense and arguments in this thread?

thats right: stop being a fanboy and just support the whole entire gaming industry. (don't hate, appreciate. =P)

THAT MEANS! Buy all consoles if you really want to, but if you can't, then stop hating on other consoles just because you can't get the game you want in the console you currently have. There's enough room for nintendo, sony, and microsoft, as long as all of us gamers support all of them. =P
