Apparently 7.6 is a horrible score these days, also I thought the fact that Cassamassina was a huge Wii fan was known.

Not as of late. He is being iffy. ALso 7.6 IS a horrible score when the worst thing you can find about the game is load times.

I don't think reviews should start at 10.0 and then you pull a few points off each time the reviewer criticizes something about a game and you get the proper review score, but if that is what this reviewer does then I suppose it is too low for few complaints.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Of course not. 7.6 is slightly around average. You haven't tell us why the game is average and not above it. From the content of the review I expected at least an 8. Don't just say the game is fun, but there is loading times and it is a little complicated to control 7.6. I want content in the reviews I watch/read.

If reviews were done properly the average should be 5.0, but I know what you mean with normal scoring of reviews on gaming sites and magazines.

Agreed.

This is exactly why I only pay attention to reviews from Family Friendly Gaming.  I agree with their stance on games, and love games they recommend.

What TV Tropes calles the "Four Point Scale".

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

IGN will love when all games start to play themselves so they don't have to move a finger.

I'm starting to rely less and less on IGN. Everybody should just watch gameplay vids, and buy games based on whether the game looks fun to them or not and also based on their instinct.

NINTENDO

nintendo forever . . .

Well both Nintendo Power and GameTrailers gave in an 85. Personally I think that since his Conduit review (for which he got attacked by many from ZE HARDCOREZ, especially since the game mentioned IGN in its thanks), Cassamassina is on a mission to "redeem" himself by lowering the scores he gives Wii games.
