looks sooo awesome.
A real beauty. Will buy it Day 1.
I already had more fun with Bad Company than with BF2, so this is a no brainer
The cool thing about the Battlefield Moments video (the top one) is that it's pretty much what Bad Company is like, albeit a lot more faster pace and a bit scripted.
I'm so glad that you can get points for spotting tanks. I always did that, but felt like I was putting myself at risk or wasting my time.
Games like MAG and Bad Company workout the issue of team work by either doing it for you (spotting in Bad Company), or by giving point incentives (objective based in MAG, and a shit load of stuff in Bad Company).
My proudest achievement in Bad Company in the last week or two was tagging a chopper as a specialist, dying, and then when I saw the Helicopter in the air, hundreds of yards away, I just lifted my rocket launcher, aimed in a random spot in the sky, and made the pilot absolutely go:
WTF?!

Original Bad Company is only $20. 5 dollars more than 43. I'll buy it. Although maybe not for PS3, since the community is a bit dead and doesn't have the boost of sales like 360. If you play during the high peeks though you won't have trouble finding full games.
All the games I love the most, I find flaws with because I play them too much.
Bad Company has a horrible issue with spawn camping. Where one guy can just squat behind the spawn spot, and knife kill as soon as you spawn. The Sniper sensor can get a bit overpowering. Especially if you don't have a fellow sniper doing the same (and who really wants to be throwing sensors all day?) 1 shot kill sniper rifles and quick scoping can make a sniper overpowering too (you could just have a dot sticker and play with it like a shotty but with range).
The spotting could be fixed somewhat. Either shorten the time you have the dot on the head, or calculate if their position can't be spotted realisticly (like if you nick someone with a bullet as they're running behind a corner. You shouldn't be able to know where they are behind the wall).
Being able to choose your squad mates, and which one to spawn on is a good addition.
Bad Company has a few flaws, but the destructible environments are just AWESOME. It feels like it's adding another demension. You have a whole group of things to beware about, and take advantage of.
Maps are huge, vehicles are awesome. I wish they'll increase player limit.
In short: Buy it

I played the Demo online on PS3, loved it, but... like you said... PS3's Online for the full game is most likely not there at all, and i dont have online for my 360...
In short: No Buy... ;(

Those vids were awesome. Truly!
That's how a wargame should feel like.

At this point in time it is not worth buying the original. A lot of the honest players left long ago due to some glitches that were never fixed (like endless artillary) or the fact 90% of people were playing sniper and quickscoping/screendotting.
Are also some squadding issues where unless you put PS3 in a DMZ you could not squad up. |
It's still a blast though when you do get into a honest game >.< Hopefully Bad Company 2 would fix the problems and improve the good (graphics, DESTRUCTION, sounds, etc)

Not sure if I'll get. Loved BF2 and BFBC2, but MW2 and MAG both look better than this in my opioin. Plus this game is using the same character models, building models and vehicle models as the first one. Plus the guns so far are all the same. The places look like the same climate as well.
But I will wait for the demo + reviews before I judge this game. Hopefully EA will make a
BattleField: Vietnam 2. That would be sick. All jungle warfare, so awsome!

Hm? The community is a bit dead? I never have problems finding a full game, but that's just me.
