Mine in no particular order
1- Force Unleashed
2- Infamous (I really wanted to like it, but could not get hooked)
3-GTAIV
4-Scribblenauts
5-Shadowrun (Cool game, but needed a lot more work)

The only full game I've played on the list is Assassin's Creed. Although I didn't care for it too much, I wouldn't say it is one of my biggest disappointments because I wasn't hyped for it.

These were only my opinions not saying you should agree to them :P

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
1. The review system has come a long way. We're now on the 9-10 scale, where 9.0 is a scourge to humanity while 10 is expected.
2. Sonic & Knuckles is still not on Virtual Console... curses! (Yeah yeah, keep laughing you 360 owners!
)
3. I need another "The Tick!" video game.
4. Sega never returned to glory this past September 9th.
5. Project Needlemouse isn't out yet.

Really great list! I agree with every game on it, especially Fable II, and Assassin's Creed.

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E
Slaughterhouse Is The Sh*t .... NOW ........ B_E_L_I_E_V_E
My BIGGEST disappointment is Sphere (Sonys wand) and Home
It looked like it would top the Wii. But it has nothing on the wii.
A report from Sony stated that the MotionControllers would be able to play all current games and the exclusive games. But instead, you only have a handfull of games, and remakes of games.
Home being a dissapointment doesnt really need to be pointed out.
| SmokedHostage said: My list would be. 1) The overall lack of platformers on all platforms. 2) The surge of Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and mediorce clones such as Rock Revolution and Ultimate Band. 3) The mainstream approval of downloadable content, either it's new maps, new songs, and new characters that should be included in the game. 4) The surge of first person and third person shooters. We have this great technology that produces realistic visuals yet consumers seem content with using it to display zombie, alien and nazi death animations. 5) The button abuse. Gamers seem to complain about "waggle fests" but it's counter-intuitive to have to use one of 16 buttons at any time in a game. |
I agree with all of these, and especially the point about DLC. I don't know why people put up with that at all.
I really really like rhythm games, but this guitar peripheral subgenre is overdoing it. My favorite rhythm games are the ones without peripherals on the DS, like Daigasso! Band Bros., Ouendan/Elite Beat Agents, and Rhythm Heaven.
And button abuse is just totally nuts. The PS2 controller had 12 buttons on it, or 16 if you include the directional triangle button things. San Andreas used every single one of them. Most people I saw play the game wouldn't use half of them. They'd drive around running people over and collecting cars, or just turn on cheats and kill cops all day. I really miss games that take seconds to learn and years to master, instead of years to learn the controls and seconds to master once you do.
Erm Resident Evil 5 wasn't "more of a shooter" then RE4.
