My personal top 5 surprisingly good games of the generation.
1.

This was surprising because I don't get into a competitive online shooter very often and the last one was years ago with Battlefield 2. Best class based shooter there is, always fun and never gets boring. My favorite class is the demoman and that's supposed to be the 360 version but there's no cover art for it.
2.

Killer 7 was cool and all but this is a much funner game. Sure the side missions are terrible and the regular enemies are cannon fodder, but the strange characters and insane boss fights made this my favorite game on the Wii so far.
3.

This game had more than its fair share of problems. Bad dialogue, simple story and uninteresting characters didn't ruin the fun of just going around and killing thousands and thousands of zombbies with random objects. Too many armed enemies at the end, shooting and bosses all need work, but the sequel could end up being one of the best games of the generation if a few things are tweaked.
4.

Never really got into the previous Burnout games, maybe it was the open world that brought me into this one. So much to do in this game, lots of different events and it does collectables the right way.
5.

The agility orbs are addictive, lots of enemies to kill, the bosses are surrounded by hundreds of 'em and the explosive weapons are really entertaining. The climbing in this game is ridiculous fun.
If you have a top 5 share the list. Remember it has to be a game that was an unexpetedly good experience.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
