Description: The Devil May Cry franchise debuted last generation, and the original title was praised by reviewers and gamers, and the title went on to sell an impressive 2.8 million copies. When the sequel released it was met with mixed reviews at best, and declined about 35% from the original. Devil May Cry 3, performed slightly better than its predecessor, but it still seemed as if the franchise had lost a big portion of its audience. This generation Devil May Cry 4 was released as a multiplatform title, and despite having a smaller install base compared to the Playstation 2, the franchise regained some steam having sold 2.42 million copies so far. On average the game is up 15% from last generation's games, and is up 33% from the series low point in Devil May Cry 2. So why was Devil May Cry 4 able to see an increase compared to last generation? Vote in the poll, and then leave a comment letting us know what you think.
