I'd go with that. It's not like he was James Buchanon or something.

You'd be surprised... when it comes to charitable donations few presidents match Bush.
His house also runs on geothermal energy.
I liked Bush. He made one mistake by going into Iraq, but he and Powell honestly believed there would be some WMD. Maybe it was bad intel, or maybe even Saddam destroyed all the evidence.
In general I agree with Bush's policies. I feel the same way. You just gotta be tough and firm against bad guys.
USA should have stuck to the same path, and remain as that stable conservative moral, economic and military leader of the world. Now they won lots of support in the short term from a bunch of socialists, extremists and dictators, but in the long term they're leading the world into a dangerous direction instead by bending over to bad people. Too much socialism, and too much power for dictators and rogue states will be in the future.

@ slimebeast: Bush, along with a new administration in S. Korea at about the same time, actually antagonized N. Korea and reversed progress that had been made. So I disagree with respect to that country at least.

Not really. He did for the first half... back when EVERYONE was on his side... and democrats were signing up left and right to invade countries who had no connection to the war on terror.
Then they gave him about a harsh a ride as you've seen since Jimmy Carter... once everyone decided the whole thing was a bad idea and started looking for a scapegoat, rahter then excepting the fact that nearly everyone was for the war. (Except me.)
Which happens to be the worst part of US politics... the ability of the majority to slink away without any payment for mistakes while a few scapegoats get blamed for it all. Leaving the same people with bad decision making skills in office.
Both the Democrats and Republicans should of been replaced last few elections with newer members... and the media for that matter. The Media shouldn't be giving ANYONE an easy time even when things are good.
