i was wondering what happens when shops start selling games before the release date, what happens to them sales do they go uncounted or just added on to the first week sales. Because i saw a thread were ppl were saying that because ppl had recived uncharted 2 early it would mess up first week sales, and uncharted 2 wouldnt get as high first week sales.

So does anyone know what happens?

They get heavy fines if caught. I heard it's around 10,000 dollars per store caught, however walmart gets many sales based on the fact that they break games early so they're willing to risk it since the profit outweighs the fines.

I know they get fined i just don't know how much, i would say more realisticly it's around 3,000 per store caught.
