isnt the online multi-player something new?

Correct very much so, it's brilliant and innovative. Something like this has never been done before, hanging from ledges shooting, climbing up walls, etc in a multi-player game like this.
Also very innovative:

The more you think of it the more bogus their comments here seem...
Uncharted 2 ups the ante in almost any way, it sets new standards and higher expectations.

You can now watch youtube videos in HD :P
Perhaps it's how the cinema mode in Uncharted 2 can be used for machinima with stuff like the blank room and green screens. Seeing as how that's what the focus of that video was.

"Naughty Dog is also including two new innovative modes to Uncharted 2 called Cinema Mode, as well as the innovative Machinima Mode in the demo. They apparently couldn’t wait to get it into the hands of gamers, so they decided to give everyone a little taste. Cinema Mode records literally everything that goes on in a multi-player round and exports it to a multimedia video file on your PS3. Everything is tracked and recorded to this file so it can be watched over and studied over from every different angle or viewpoint. Want to check out how WombRaider69 got you from behind with that knife behind the dilapidated car? Find out how he did it in Cinema Mode by following every one of his movements in slow-motion, and watch the knife go into your body from any possible camera angle.
Uncharted 2’s Machinima Mode looks to be the first set of tools put into a box released console game dedicated to the support of user created content and videos. This means you can record any and all of Drake’s movements in the game only to use that content for a custom video or webisode. Attach your blu-tooth headset or PS3 Eye camera mic, and watch Drake’s mouth move to what you are actually saying. Pretty crazy stuff!"
Cinema mode itself isn't new though perhaps the things you can do while using it are (like all the settings you can manipulate).
I'll tell you what though, you'll get some sweet screenshots with it.
What about the innovations in the way that the game is displayed, i.e. tech innovations to make it look awesome. There are just so many things about this game which make it fresh, but more importantly, more enjoyable to play!!!

This goes much further, the lip sync feature for instance makes tthese mode incredibly more interesting.
I'm expected loads of funny and impressive youtube videos (like we saw from LittleBigPlanet).
I actually think a 9.3 is a fine score but i do think their comments are a little strange. Metal Gear 4 was an awesome game but at the end did it really do anything different then the others. My point is I play games to be entertained and being completely different or innovative isnt always a necessity. Story and gameplay mean alot more to me then if its different. Guess what i wanna play Uncharted 2 cause I loved Uncharted 1. My point is why is gametrailers telling me they wont go higher NOW then a certain score unless the game is innovative. I really just would rather them not explain themselves then have said that cause basicly now no sequel can get a higher score then a 9.3 unless its completely different then the original or other games. Unless you wanna see the fanboys screaming that is.

I thought they actually loved this game, just got carried away with their reasoning compared to other games.
I don't think they would ever claim Gears of War shows anywhere near the acting performances we have in this game, nor Halo 3 has anywhere near the graphics polishment, neither game is this thoroughly polished, technically impressive and fun (for many, like me).
It's more about they saying they would have rated the game higher if Uncharted 2 wouldn't have continued on and added to the Uncharted 1 success formula. They also indirectly imply the other games mentioned above are more innovative.... Gears of War's most innovative feature seems to be from Kill.Switch together with a few other game inspired features. There was a big interview with regard to this with the main developer on how he took the best ideas from other games. Halo 3, well it's just pretty plain old Halo, a bit short and not that pretty, but still the Halo many people seem to have fallen in love with (me excluded, Halo 1 was nice for its time though)
