tip you should try parry and two handed weapons too 
parry is very useful with critical attacks.
how would u guys feel if i took the time to make a DS faq thread???
It would be awesome. The game's tutorial level doesn't really help at all. There are many things I know now, that I wish I knew when I started playing, so it would be very helpful for those who start playing.
