Forums - General - Firefox is crashing an awful lot.

IE must be poisoning your other browsers in an attempt for dominance.

Try uninstalling ff completely though. Mine used to crash like that and it fixed when i uninstalled/restarted/installed agian

If Chrome has the same issue, it's probably not an Opera thing.

Question: how are you connecting to the Internet? Google seems to return lots of things about issues with Opera and 3G connections.

Wireless broadband connection. And the strange thing is that Google Chrome was working recently.

I could try re-installing Firefox. Will that delete all of my addons? If it does, screw it, I'll wait for the next update.

Kantor:

Your lack of connectivity is due to a system or firewall setting. Try IE8 and see if it has the same problem. If it has the same problem, it's a system setting. If not, it's a firewall setting.

Firefox: Firefox doesn't normally crash for anyone here so it's likely you have plugins that aren't working too well (try disabling them to see if it gets better then re-enable them one at a time) or have some bad temporary data so try clearing your cache and temporary files.

IE explorer is great, never had a problem 10/10

*Runs for the hills*

I would try re-installing anyway. Either that or checking the FF help forums (or whatever they're called). I had a problem with Firefox making every file i downloaded into an empty file, and the help forums fixed it right up.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Firefox has been buggy lately, I was using chrome, but then it's latest update really screwed it up.

Past Avatar picture!!!

Don't forget your helmet there, Master Chief!

I cleared recent history (private data), and disabled some of my newer add-ons. I'll try re-installing it if it crashes again.

Firefox crashes every 15 mins for me. Tried everything, reinstalling, deleting cookies, recovering my PC to an earlier date. I had to switch browsers.

UPDATE: After a brief stint with Opera (great browser, by the way) I decided to reinstall Firefox, and I'm back to using it. It seems to be running faster now, so hopefully it won't crash any more.
