Is uncharted being released in Japan too?

I doubt it. It is still a relatively new IP and even greatly reviewed games struggle to carry system sales

I dont think it will push it that much. But the fact the PS3 is cheaper and the slim and the game is getting AMAZING reviews and well recepted beta, i think it will be an anomoly where a sequal to a game already on the system could push sales of hardware.

Just not by that much.....maybe 15k in Others and 10k in America.

No PS sells a lot already, and Uncharted isn't one of the games in the league of a Halo, God of War/MGS........yet.

No. Sony hype train rarely translates into real world sales.

With bundles and good advertising it should help move hardware over 250k for a week or 2, I think. I'll be really suprised if PS3 can reach over 300K before December. ( pleasantly )

Except its not the sony hype train, its like a world hype train in which, somehow Sony isnt driving.

Uncharted 2 is a system seller to me, as in it was the catalyst for me to decide to buy a PS3 but I don't know if I'll buy it during launch week or not..

I strongly doubt we'll see a jump in PS3 sales the week Uncharted 2 is released but I'm sure it'll be a system seller over the holidays.

Whether or not U2 will have any effect though will probably be hard to determine.
If the increase is 10k or more, then probably it did shift a few consoles.
5k or thereabouts would just be normal for this time of year imo

There will be a slight increase I think, but not enough to get to 300.000. I'm not sure if Uncharted 2 releases the same week in Japan, but it shouldn't have a big impact there anyway. Is there any other release in Japan for the same week? That could be more of a factor there than U2.
