You didn't, that's the point. I wasn't talking about this gen either...

As for the source, if you can't provide it, you can't prove your case. As usual, you DON'T spout any truths..... * sigh * It's pointless arguing with you, I NEVER will again...

I didn't, because they aren't on top this gen, I was referring to this gen, not history, because if you want history, then you have to go back all the way to the beginning of the gaming market and that would be ridiculous.

The source exists, and you can find it if you want to, as the financial reports are public, I just don't want to spend the time digging through report after report to give you the data, as I don't really care enough about the issue to put in that effort, if that makes my argument false in your eyes, then so be it.

I think Pachters NPD predictions illustrate how difficult an opponent 360 is. Even in it's first month with all the hype, Sony could barely outsell the 360 which had no real price drop at all. Sure Sony does better in EU and has no competition from 360 in Japan, but it still just shows how tough microsoft hangs in there.

 

While your math is correct, your argument is dependant on the 360 having the same lifespan as the PS3.  That's a possiblity of course, but I highly doubt it.  The PS2 is in its 10th year and it's still selling very competitively, while the original XBox (which came out after the PS2), has already long stopped production.  History would suggest that Sony is serious about its consoles having a 10 year lifespan.  Microsoft has never made such statement.  So to me, it seems that Microsoft will release the next XBox within the next 2-3 years.  So while the PS3 may not catch up to the 360's sales in the next couple years, they'll have a good 5 years after the 360 has stopped production to catch up.  I would predict that the PS3 will surpass the 360 in sales by 2014.

Ands Sonys waglle could be the next wii, NAtal will do as much as little might do nothing at all.  No point in factoring a unknown in to anything especially if Sonys got a gimmick of their own coming.

And come one Halo fans already own a 360, shooter fans already own it.  Halo wont do anythign for hw sales, its been milked to death already  But if you really thing that then GT6 and GT7 mill sale billion PS3 whatever yahh.

Simple logic says PS is more popular ww and will have a longer life span thus out selling the 360 by how much who the hell knows but it will out sales it that obvious to any one whos unbias.

Price -  look at PS3 price and how much it sold and 360 price how much it sold, really look at it.

Oh dear, ONE Austrailian game retailer accidently puts "ps3" next to mass effect 2 on their website and its now bound for sonys console?
