You can match up the numbers with NPD. So... yeah. Tell him to look at the NPD numbers again.

VGC numbers are very accurate for Japan, accurate for Americas and ok for others.

several big media outlets have used VGC for data, and it's becoming to video games, what Box Office Mojo has become to movies.  These guys work pretty hard to get some data to us weekly, and while it's not 100%, it's pretty darn close...why does it need to be 100% anyway...are we investing in stock of these companies?  Statistical sampling isn't easy...and it's certianly not dead-on accurate as a rule of thumb, but it's close enough...I'll get on the VGC fan train...sorry, but launching a OP like he/she did is probably not the most convincing way to make an entrance...unless you're Kanye West I guess.  Most of the data posted here can be validated thru 10-Q and 10-K.
