lol what the?, the PSP isn't launching till November 1st is Japan, why the sudden jump?

And Wii numbers are very low for a price cut

Wii numbers are very low for a pricecut.

Mind you it has always been new models that have tickled the fancy of Japanese consumers more than pricecuts. Nintendo should probably get some new colours out there...

Actually what they need is NSMB, but it looks like they're going to hold off on that until late November, early December

I doubt NSMB will provide the short term boost that Nintendo would be looking for in the run up to the holidays. I think a black Wii would give a better chance of that in Japan.

Sony slashed the price of the PSP from ¥19,800 (~$215) to ¥16,800 (~$185) this week.

There already is a black Wii in Japan, and NSMB on the DS gave that console a huge boost and it released in the spring not the holidays, so NSMB will have a strong effect on the Wii this winter, not to mention the other titles that are releasing at that point

  I believe no firm date has been set yet for Japan, but if they are releasing in November in the US, then December is likely for Japan
