*snicker* I love it when these designers were silent during PS2 days of graphical underachiever, but when your personal machine can boast something greater that the competition things are reversed. Wait sounds like fanboyism here :P

I honestly do think that most of the current Square staff/studio(I am making the distinction) are predominantly coming from the PS era. Where as the Enix staff/studios don't really seem to care.

Because Enix knows where the money is and they're putting they're biggest cashcow on the DS and Wii.

Square's a bunch of whiners who want cutscenes to be the pinnacle of game design.

I'll take a colorful game over a greybrown one
I'll take a 60fps game over a 30 fps one
I'll take a lag free game over a laggy/glitchy one.
I'll take a 40+ hour game over a realistic 5- hour game.

I can keep going on and on why HD isn't always the best way to go,well atleast not until they fix the standard problems.

Hearing this statement made me think of a few years ago, when we were all still in our caves drawing on walls... thank god for HD, it saved us, now we can see things clearly.
