They call it Black Friday because retailers usually operate at a slight loss during most of the year, that is, their numbers are "in the red."  On Black Friday, and for the rest of the holiday season, retailers make huge revenues and the numbers are "in the black."

Sony doesn't even have a 'bullet' to fire this holiday season, cmon guys... Lets be serious... Warhawk and Heavenly Sword weren't what one could call system sellers or killer-apps... Nintendo has yet to fire of Mario Galaxy and Metroid prime in PAL regions and with Super smash Bros kickin in 6th gear first thing 2008 it's gonna be one hell of a bullet for Nintendo. Sony only has a pricedrop and ratchet and clank, which is like Mario... But less... Know what i mean?! It won't move many system opposed to Mario and won't even sell nearly as much as it... (Referring to Sony:) They'll have their year in 2008 or 2009...

The big coup would be if Reggie got slim for the US launch of Wii Fit.

The "bullet(s)" Reggie is referring to is Halo for Microsoft and the fact that Nintendo sales still barely meets demand in the US every month so far. (Yes I know if you're a Sony or Microsoft Fanboy you see them all over the place)

I say Nintendo's gun has one round in the chamber and about six blanks.

The line-up is decent but as far as muscle is concerned Nintendo has only one real bullet. The other titles will no doubt have an impact on the market but by no means are they going to inflict any real damage.

None of the blanks are going to ship any real additional hardware units this fall. Meaning Nintendo really only has one in the chamber the others will simply stur up the market a bit giving Nintendo some decent profits.

I think all the blanks are likely to sell about 500K to a mill this fall. But none will truly have the impact to compare them to Halo as a bullet!

Ratchet and Clank seems very good, PES2008 will mean a lot in Europe. Things for Sony look bad in Japan only IMO.

Whats scaring is that they have managed to sell half a million consoles in one month without a single game released .If Sony believed their fans to be zombies that would buy the console no matter if there were games released for it it should take notice from Nintendo and its fans ....0 quality software =massive sales !
