Condemned has so many stand out moments, and its EASILY the scariest and most psychologically intimidating game this gen.

Dead Rising won it for me due to the sheer variety of imaginative ways that you can kill a zombie, and the fact that if you want to see everything (all cutscenes and outcomes) you have to play it multiple times.

Besides SIREN: Blood Curse, it's the best survival horror game I've played this gen. You have great taste too it seems, as Dead Rising is one of the greatest games to come along this gen!


I'm still baffled by the fact that Dead Rising is a love-hate kind of game.

No one seems to have a score of say 500 Achievement points for it.......... they either have a very low score (60-80 G's) or a very high score (800-960 G's)

I hear people say they don't like it because theres no save points in the game (Have they not been to the control room near the rooftop or the toilets in the cinema or wonderland/Paradise?)

Thats ther beauty of it for me....... if your low on health and need to save, your gonna have to get past a mass of zombies in the shopping mall in order to earn save.

It adds to the tension for me......... one mistake and its a long way back to where you were.

Also, dead rising is the best and most original sandbox game imo this gen.

As far as best franchise, its hard to ignore Gears and COD despite me not being a fan of either...simply due to massive appeal they have.

And those mentioning Uncharted...while part 2 looks like GOTY material, part 1 was about as original as Madonna has been in the 2000s. I played part 1 and while its a fun game...you can't be the best franchise by polishing up recycled gamplay elements like that.

There's so much to choose from. The GTA franchise can't get it as IMO, GTA4 was overrated and I didn't have an AWESOME time with it. I thought San Andreas is much better.

The MGS franchise has really made its strides in this generation. The Uncharted franchise caught me by surprise. Mario has been really making his mark on everything the Wii markets (Like always..), Super Mario Galaxy, although an easy game, was fun as hell.

I'd say Uncharted. They really impressed me and showed that high-quality features a la MGS4 was possible. Uncharted wins. 1 was pretty good, not OMG THIZ IS AWESOME!!!!, but 2 apparently is where the franchise shined.



This is the true definition of owning.

Uncharted is the best new franchise this gen in my opinion.

Erm best franchise this gen though will have to be

MGS or Uncharted. Depending on how good MGR is

Dead Rising has it all............... Memorable bosses like Adam the mad clown, memorable cutscenes, memorable ways to dispose of a zombie, memorable humour like sticking traffic cones on zombies heads then taking a picture.

Bottom line__________________ for me is that Dead Rising is the best sandbox game out there this gen and everyone who is a sandbox fan needs to put down their copies of saints row and crackdown and play this masterpeice....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
