All members of Solider were infused Jenova cells and Mako. Hojo called him a failure because he reacted poorly to the experimentation. When you were searching for the "Black Materia" its been a while so I maybe off, Cloud strikes Aeris and when she fall to the ground he gets on top of her and procedes to punch her repeatedly. I believe it is Barrett that pull him off of her but I could be wrong. Are you telling me that you wouldn't tell Zack's parents that their son died. You would let his parents continue to suffer with the thought of not knowing his fate? Ouch, that is extremely cruel.

I am not saying Cloud did any of those things on purpose but he is extremely weak minded and unlucky to say the least. In general he just an extremely suspect hero. I like characters with flaws but Cloud is too flawed. If it weren't for Sephiroth he'd probably be the most ill conceived character in the game. That is another post however.

Unfortunate yes, and yes all SOLDIER members were infused with mako, but not Jenova cells. Hojo thought Zack and Cloud were both powerful for either having killed Sephiroth or at least not being killed by him, so he experimented on them with Jenova cells and massive amounts of mako for two years.

And if it was uncertainty vs knowing that he was killed by 5 people with machine guns, I'd personally rather not know what happened. 

And I don't recall that punching scene...but if it was during the black materia part, that was when Sephiroth was morphing his body to look like the other characters so he could manipulate them into giving him the black materia, so it could either have been Cloud under Sephiroth's control, or just Sephiroth himself disguised as Cloud.

But you wouldn't know which you prefered until you found out.

I love both. But as I thought OoT was better than FF7 it has to be Link.

CLOUD easily better hero, better fighter, better lover better everything, no seriously every single aspect of cloud is better than LInk or any other blond haired character for that matter.

edit: A little question, would link last against sephiroth in 1 minute?

Actually Link would win in a fight. Cause while Cloud is waiting for his time bar. Link is runnig around smacking him in the face.

Link activates one of his THREE (AFAIK) complete invincibility items and whips Cloud and Sephiroth.

Cloud may die.. but sephiroth uses his death angel technique(or watever its called) an aura casts upon link and no matter what he does he dies in mere secounds.
