Also Ganondorf isn't one person, as I said. There are....4 different Ganondorfs, by my count.

You show me Ganondorf doing something like that and we'll see who wins in a fight. And Cloud beat him.

Link's power is bravery.Regardless of how powerful he is compared to other people in his own universe the people in the FF universes are absurdly powerful, Link is supposed to basically be normal. There is never any indication given that he could, I don't know....slice through 50 feet of solid steel instantaneously from 200 feet away. I like Link just fine. But he'd have a way better chance against....say, Dante, and Dante would still beat him.

Cloud? As in Cloud Strife, one of the worst lead characters in RPG history. Let me get this straight. Cloud is great hero because:

A) He laid on the ground "sick" while Zack was gunned down.
B) Stole Zack's life
C) Stole Zack's girlfriend (Aeris)
D) Beat the hell out Aeris
E) Stood there and watched Sephiroth run Aeris through
F) Visits Zack's parents, but doesn't have the decency to tell them that their son is dead.

Oh wait, those aren't heroic things. Oh I know, he did do one cool thing. He killed Sephiroth after getting ran through buy his sword. Other than that Cloud was anything but heroic. Also, if a lowly Shinra guard (Cloud) can defeat him, how good of a warrior can Sephiroth really be?

Regardless of how Cloud started out, he still beat Sephiroth, and Sephiroth is insanely powerful. His "sickness" was due genetic/mako infusion experimentation, which made him a bit like Sephiroth, and a lot of the stuff he did was while under the influence of Sephiroth's telepathic powers, because Sephiroth fused with Jenova and Cloud was experimented on with Jenova cells. The experimentation screwed a bunch of his memory up, and he was also virtually superpowered thanks to mako energy and Jenova cells.

So,
A) Genetic experimentation wipes you out when you aren't a First Class Soldier
B) Didn't remember who he or Zack was
C) Never even knew who Aeris was before he met her, even without the amnesia
D) I don't seem to recall him beating the hell out of Aeris, I recall Sephiroth telepathically trying to make Cloud kill her, which he was stopped from doing
E) Was recovering from being mind raped when Sephiroth fell from the ceiling to kill Aeris, which he did instantaneously, not exactly much time to intervene
F) I wouldn't want to tell them he was dead either, even if I remembered.

I'm not saying Cloud isn't kind of lame. He's just not lame for those reasons. And certainly not lame for being bad at fighting.

I think Link is more important to the industry/more famous/in a better games(s), and... I just can't see how they can be compared. It's like comparing Super Mario to... something like mario, but not even in his genre. Someone like rachet and clank would work, but pretend rachet and clank is a game of a completly different genre than mario.

Also Ganondorf isn't one person, as I said. I am not including anything Sephiroth did say, here....

Was that Final Fantasy or Dragon Ball Z?

I swear Picollo should sue for the usage of his sky shot/homing fireball move.

Cane of Byrna plus Master Sword beam for the win.  (If you know what the former is, you know why that wins.)

It actually is kind of like that. I mean, Mario is cool and he's always the hero, but Ratchet would just turn him into a penguin or make him dance until he died with the Groovitron.

@Word of Wisdom

That was from Crisis Core and Crisis Core is FF7 canon, so that would be exactly like if there was a video in Twilight Princess of Link doing that exact thing. Also, as for the Cane of Byrna, it only makes you invincible while you have magic bar. I don't care if he DOES have little sparklies flying around him, it wouldn't protect him from Sephiroth opening up dark lifestream underneath him and sucking him in. Which he as also done in FF7 canon, Advent Children. He corrupted the souls of everything that ever lived on the planet and destroyed half the city with them. After, of course, escaping from it himself through sheer force of will.

I take it you don't know what the Cane of Byrna is.  Your Zelda/Linkfu is weak.

Also I've never seen Link EVER use the master sword beam for anything. It's like the boomerang.

See the edit of my previous post as to the cane of Byrna. 10 to 15 seconds of invincibility, maybe more depending on how many bottles of potion he has on him. Like to see him try to drink them without Sephiroth slicing him in half.

For anyone interested on how would it be if Sephiroth, Ganon, Nemesis and Bowser joined forces, check this out.

and don't forget to check part II: http://newgrounds.com/portal/view/317500

You think Link has less will than Sephiroth?  O.o  Triforce of Courage.

And those "sparklies" protected him from everything.  Everything.

I'd mention the Cape of Invisibility but that did more than its name implies strangely enough (not just invisible, untouchable).
