Ppl like Bonafide are ignoring the pure brilliance and diversity of the 360's line up. It has JRPG's, WRPG's, Shooters, Platformers, RTS's, and it will undoubtedly have a bunch of party games of reasonable quality from Rare etc. On top of that it has the complete GTA4 experience and other sandbox games.
The PS3 is relying on four games above all others in the year 2008 (5 if FFXIII makes it in). GT5 (which will be great, so this one has no catch), MGS4 which despite all fanboy whining is GOING to come to the 360 unless Sony pays a crapload for exclusivity, Killzone 2 which comes of the back of a tedious and mediocre sequel from an unproven developer and LBP which I think will be very good but is intrinsically hardcore.
As far as I know there are no high profile WRPG's coming to the PS3 next yr, but the 360 had Fable 2.
I also don't know if the PS3 has any platformer's next year, but the 360 has Kameo 2 and of course, the highly anticipated BK3.
Shooter wise the 360 gets UT3 next year as well as Haze (probably), Alan Wake (from the makers of Max Payne), and then all the other multi-plats that will inevitably come out, as well as the probable launch of GEARS OF WAR 2.
RTS the 360 will get more because of its affinity with the PC, not to mention Halo Wars.
Finally in the realm of JRPG's, the 360 gets Lost Odyssey, Cry On, Infinite Undiscovery. This looks brilliant compared to the PS3's White Knight Story and er......
Edit: Both consoles will also get Devil May Cry 4 in the action/adventuregenre. They also get GoW3 (PS3) and Too Human (360) so they are pretty even on this front
