Apart from Halo 3 (being hard to beat on the 360), 2008 will be better for basically every console. The Wii & PS3 will both start to really take off, and the 360 will continue building a library of awesome titles.
As long as the industry keeps posting record figures, every year has a good chance of beating the previous one.
And one game to look out for - The Getaway for the PS3. Sony's answer to GTA unless I am mistaken. Might be a 2009 release though.
Love to see the next iteration of the DS hardware - but it might not hit until 2009 (i.e. compatible with the DS) - rather than the DS II (which could be anything).
