Forums - Nintendo - My Wii Fitness Challenge

With Wii Fit Plus launching soon, I figured I would remake this thread with more complete details, in hopes of showing how real results can be had using Wii Fit and other fitness games on Wii.

Also with moving into a new house and starting my second year of college, I let my Wii Fit routine fall to the side, well I'm starting it over now, hopefully I'll see some results soon. I will try to do at least 1 hour a day of Wii Fit training.

Feel free to post your own Wii fitness routine and the progress your making.

UPDATE: Now that I have most of the activities unlocked Im splitting my workouts into 1 day strength / cardio and the next yoga / cardio, see if that helps a bit.

loser, you abandoned the old thread. I will keep it alive without you

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
In the past we played games. In the future we watch games. - Forest-Spirit

I am picking it up this evening after work. I would have got it yesterday but work ran late. I am 6 foot 4, 210 pounds. I am not sure how much I have to lose though.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

After some trial and error I found that a full strength routine + aerobic + balance followed the next day with a full yoga (+ aerobic) works good for me. Wearing out your muscles, followed by a good stretch the next day will get your muscles into the "micro tear -> repair + build" cycle.

Day 2

- Had a pretty crappy day, so Im forcing this 1 hour out.

- Weight of 210.8 lbs (on an empty stomach)

- Yoga - 12 min

- Strength - 19 min

- Aerobics - 18 min

- Balance - 11 min

- Total Time - 1 hour

- Notes: Still an unbalanced workout, but have more and more unlocked.

- Balance - 6 min

- Total Time - 1 hour

- Notes: Since not all of the games are unlocked yet, it was a pretty uneven workout to get to my 1 hour a day goal.

you don't get fit on wii fit.

Gintama is the funniest show EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Proud owner of all currnet gen consoles.

I not a big wii fan

Okita the sadist.

no you dont get fit on Wii Fit, diet and proper exercise are important too,

I choose to use Wii Fit as a motivational tool to keep me going and squeeze in a workout when Im too busy to go to the gym

and I lost 15 pounds on Wii Fit this summer, so it atleast helps

Yeah, go Wii fit. I'm getting the new wii fit plus tomorrow, I'll be using it on top of my other workouts. I will probably be too sore to use the new Wii fit when I get it tomorrow. I usually play wii fit as my morning warmup workout, the yoga is great strenching, the exercises get me ready for a day of kicking my own ass. Training to be a ninja is hard work.

Day 4

- Pretty pumped for this workout.

- Weight of 209.7 lbs (-1.6)

- Yoga - 18 min

- Strength - 22 min

- Aerobics - 16 min

- Balance - 4 min

- Total Time - 1 hour

- Notes: Most of the activities are now unlocked, so I'm gonna start doing more focused workouts
