Go look at the link I posted a few pages back. A small example, but an example nonetheless.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

Because in Mass Effect you were having lesbian sex with an alien, perhaps?

As compared to having sex with a human?

Damn after beating Mass Effect over a dozen times, I could have sworn you could have a heterosexual romance with a human as well. I guess that was just my own delirium.

Perhaps you do, I've never played it. But I'm pretty sure the controversy was to do with the lesbian alien sex.

You haven't played the game? Then why are you even commenting? Is your name Cooper Lawerence?

I don't know who Cooper Lawrence is, and why can't I comment? Did Mass Effect or did it not contain sex with an alien?

Cooper Lawrence was the author that went on Fox News making in accurate comments about the sexual content of a game she hadn't played. Your comments indicate that you don't know what you are talking about. You haven't played the game. Hence the comparison to Cooper Lawerence.

May I ask why you're being overly defensive? He didn't say anything wrong.

I did go a bit overboard. I get peeved when people comment on game that hadn't played. Particularly when they are debating with people that have actually played the game.

I did some thinking because I could recall somewhere where someone was critical of the sex in Mass Effect, then it occurred to me in the review of the game and the comments after it, naznatips pretty much accused BioWare of putting sex in the game just so teenagers would buy it (yes, I'm not making this up). Not saying it's rampant, but here's one example.

From the link I have read the following

"

naznatips says:
You completely ignored my post and twisted it into some ridiculous objection to sex itself and some extremist religious statement.

I complain about the sex scene because it was an unnecessary and harmful addition to the game. My god I can't believe you are even comparing the narrative of Mass Effect to Scorsese. Sex does not advance gaming as an art form, great design does. Yes, it was cheesy and felt tacked on. It was childish, and it was genuinely detrimental to the pacing of the actual plot. Why everyone seems to define sex as maturity is beyond me."

naznatips was in no way being critical of the sex in Mass effect, other than the fact it was unnecessary, and in his opinion, hurt the games flow. And I agree with naznatips that sex does not advance gaming at all. Now I believe you can have sex in gaming as long as it keeps the game in the right direction and does not feel put in just to have it, ala Mass Effect.

Sex wasn't pushed into Mass Effect. It fit in just fine. Some times it killed you that people kept flirting until the moment they got busy.
