Forums - Sony - STOP COMPLAINING!!!!

Stop complaining? Dude, you don't see anything wrong with this? Sony makes a new PSP, with a SMALLER SCREEN, and NO UMD Drive, and tries to drive it down our throat for the same price the original PSP launched at 4 years ago?

FUCK THAT!

I really don't see the point of the PSP. Can't you download games for the PSP-3000 off of PSN? then doesn't that hurt the only real reason to buy the Go(of course I could be wrong about this)

Firstly everyone says "take out the umd" blah blah blah "we want digital distribution" I've never in my life seen anyone say that. I'm 100% against digital distribution

Now you have psp-go which does what you wanted IN ADDITON to the people who STILL want UMD...If you still want UMD buy a fucking psp-3000 its not that hard...

Secondly PSP-GO did not flop just because of sales....dreamcast didnt sell well but is it considered a flop? NO Well I consider only ~10 million sales and about a 2 year production life a flop. Especially considering how its competitors did. Sure it had a good first week but PS2's hype alone killed the dreamcast.

Thirdly the price will eventually go down...If you dont want to buy it because of the price you can fucking wait...stop complaining about every little thing that sony tries to do for you.... Yeah it will go down eventually. You'll have to wait at least a few months though.

Comments in red, obviously

Dropping the UMD drive wasn't that bad an idea guys. It did break the compatibility with the original PSP however, but considering one of the biggest issues of PSP is the UMD.
What was bad in dropping the UMD off, was that Go has nothing to replace it.

What's interesting is, that the games seem to be priced similarily to retail. Use 500€ on games and your Go bricks or gets stolen, that's goodbye to the games and money spent into them.

@underlined

Not really, you can still download the games again once you get another PSP (Go or otherwise) It's tied in with the PSN account

Not able to download them an unlimited number of times is a bit of a worry though. I think the limit is 5 times?

Anyway, what this really might go a long way towards killing is the second-hand game market.

Err.  The Go does have something to replace UMD - digital download.  That's the whole point with the Go.  No physical media, all content purchased from PSN either directly, via PS3 or via PC.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I remember there were a number of complaints about the PSP using UMD, saying takes too long to load unlike DS's cartriges, playing off UMD instead of a memory stick takes up alot more battery etc. but meh I see at lease Sony tries.

If every company gave exactly what people wanted then they'd all go bankrupt cause too many idiots demand more and want to pay less to none. Those people can keep dreaming cuz thats not how the world works.

ok that was dumb, the psp 3000 ccan download digital games AND play umd now the go takes out UMD, GO HAS NOTHING TO RAPLACE IT!

did you notice that since the psp 3000 can do both digital download is not replacing UMD, becouse is there anyway.

THE PSP 3000 CAN BE DIGITAL ONLY FROM NOW ON IF YOU WANT!!!!!! AND YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY MORE!!!!!

is that so hard to understand???? please tell me

Hey Listen!

https://archive.org/details/kohina_radio_music_collection

I am one of the guys that complained about the UMD-drive, because of loading times, battery use and loudness, 3 things that are very important on handhelds... So i was very excited about the PSP Go!, i'm no longer excited...

1. I never said "make Digital Distribution mandatory like the iPhone", (BTW, i was here every time a HD-DVD supporter and a Microsoft fan said that Digital was gonna overtake Blu-Ray, some of them are now complaining about DD in the PSP Go, i love double standards)... what i had in mind was having both DD and a new physical solution like a Flash Memory Card. Or at least, being able to buy the game in physical UMD format and then pass them to my Internal Memory (like Sony said at E3)... Too bad they dumped the last idea, that was my only requirement to buy the PSP Go...

2. The other things (Propietary cable, smaller screen, etc.) don't bother me, but the built-in battery to prevent piracy is a problem for me, i travel a lot, and sometimes i need more than 1 battery, i have 3 PSP batteries at the moment.

But what is my solution for that? STICK WITH MY PSP, it's not like Sony is eliminating the PSP-3000 anytime soon... Don't bitch about a product that is not mandatory, there are 2 PSPs for a reason...
