Too bad he's not around to see his work.
What really makes it funny is the woman just can't let it go. She'd probably dig her way to China if it was her own property.

Hell yeah! I think I'll spend the rest of my life coming up with a better punchline though, to hide where the treasure's supposed to be. Maybe a tasty chocolate cake, that will rot for a couple decades before its found, adding insult to insult.
omg, that's amazing. He's probably lhao at everyone who fell for it.

The way he did it was perfect. There will always be a part of the woman that believes the treasure is still hidden there, but she somehow missed it. If a chest had been found, there would have been closure and any doubt would have been erased. Now, there's going to be that thought in the back of her mind for the rest of her life.
It's like finding a winning lottery ticket, thinking you're going to be rich, then finding out that specific lottery doesn't exist. Can you imagine how excited she would have been when she found the note? She probably thought her life was changed forever. She's never going to want to give up on that thought.
I agree with Psychobrew (one sip of him will make you crazy!). If there actually was a treasure, we wouldn't give two shits about this "feel good" story. To make TRUE comedy, somebody's gotta get hurt!
You guys are ruthless. You could at least shit on a mirror or something. So after years of searching, when they open the box, they just see shit on their face.
What an absolute joker! this makes me want to plan something like this for after I die (but more unique obviously)
