well on gameplay.co.uk the PS3 60GB model on its own at £349.99, is selling more than the 40GB model which is £299.99, even though you can get the 60GB model with two games for £349.99. Now that is funny!

I think once they run out of 80gig w/ motorstorm (thus the title limited edition), they will most likely replace the it with 80gig w/ Spiderman 3 movie (limited again), and finally phase out the movie and have 80gig standalone. Most likely after xmas/holidays.

The 80gb is now out selling the 60gb on amazon it was only a matter of time. But what a great deal. If i didnt already have a ps3 i would totally buy the 80gb

Actually I meant "limited edition" for an 80gig with motorstorm.  The normal version will eventually go back to a 80gig without the game or movie.

Within the first 24 hours of the pricedrop for the 80GB, sales have risen 908% on Amazon.

Actually I think stranger is the listing on EBgames. They have the same price drop and still have the 20GB model. The thing is that there is only a $50 difference between the 80GB with Motorstorm and the 20GB with nothing. So if you plan on getting Motorstorm at some point the 80GB is now cheaper than either the 20GB or the 60GB, which has the same list price as the 80 GB but no Motorstorm. No sign of the 40GB on EBgames yet but currently from a value stand point your getting screwed buying any of them but the high end model.

doesn't suprise me, the 80 gig was barely in the top 100 before the prie drop happened. a 900% increase may still be a small number.

The 80Gb at 499 and with Motorstorm is a steal if you are interested in the game (a great game by the way ,with the initial flaws in the few circuits and modes corrected through some downloads ) .
