Exactly the point I was making, Now if the OP was asking whether the PS3 was going to continue to outsell the Wii, I suspect not.

I don't expect the bump to be massive, because most people can afford a $250 system to start with. I do expect it to outsell PS3 for 1-2 weeks though, with them neck-at-neck after that.

Because price is an important component of sales oh hey again Avinash!! 

Price is far less important than software, and Wii is getting software now, Wii fit Plus for example

Only for one or two weeks. The wii has been cheaply priced this entire generation while the PS3 is now just hit a reasonable price for the first time. I don't think a $50 drop from $250 to $200 is as big as a $100 drop from $400 to $300.

yes the wii will once again take the #1 spot in sales, but i think the ps3 will be in 2nd though.
it could be closer in overall sales with the great lineup the ps3 has this holiday and into next year. i think the wii's lineup could make it a see-saw battle between the ps3 and wii switching back and forth between #1 spot next year.

I don't see the PS3 being able to outsell the Wii much next year, maybe a few weeks like when GT5 releases, but the Wii's lineup in 2010 is overall stronger than the PS3's in terms of sales, what with continued NSMB Wii sales as well as a new Zelda with motion plus

FF XIII, and GT5 are releasing in 2010 for PS3.. then again.. wii fit sold 25 million..

I expect big sales for WiiFit Plus and HUGE ones for NSMFXWKHYB Wii, well, that one. Just I can't even figure out a vaguely accurate way to predict whether they'll boost HW sales by a large amount or a smaller one, and as someone else wrote, being Xmas sales boost beginning shortly after the latter's release, safely telling its evvect will be even more difficult, we'll be only really able to tell how good the overall effect of ALL the Nintendo's moves will be.
