Person from X group can be proud to be part of his group.

But when Person from X group goes around attacking people from Y group then thats a fanboy.

Actually, they were involved in several bombings as well as countless death threats against white leaders. I'm putting out the facts, you "forgot" to mention that there are black extremist groups out there that are just as notorious as KKK. Just trying to balance the scale. Anyway, by definition, these people were not fanboys, they were hard core extremists, so your original point is moot.  Anyway, that to me seemed like a dig aimed to make white people like myself feel guilty for something I have no association with...that is something I WILL NOT tolerate from either "side" of the isle. It would be nice if you could just remember, we all bleed red.

@Ironman

Well i didnt know that there were some extremest groups that did that.

I know we all bleed red and i have love for every race group and i hate (hate down to my bone) racist and extremest.

Im just pointing out the fact that Fanboys are just extremest of the console war, a thread like this is just proof of my point, he takes the console war too serious, lighten up and have some fun.

Fanboy is a negative context. First you have a
Fan, loyal but also typically close minded to alternative products.
Boy, behavior of a young child. This would be okay except for the fact that most of these people are 14+ and scarier yet you see them in their 20 and 30 still acting like they are 8.

No only a fanboy with their rose tinted glasses would ever consider the term fanboy culture sophisticated and polite. See 8 year olds play at being sophisticated, but typicly don't understand the nuounces of such things.

Alrighty, well now you know. I hope you know where I was coming from, I have just seen too much racism from both sides of the isle, and I find it completely unnecessary and repulsive. Anyway, When you put it that way, it does fit.

I find being called a fanboy flattering because it shows that my devotion to Sony is apparent. When I call someone a fanboy (and it isn't in a joking manner) I mean it to be insulting, because generally they're being annoying about their preference.

It can be something to be proud of, sure. Just because it's been heavily abused doesn't mean that the more honorable fanboys can't find pride in it. Just like how some US Soldiers have done some pretty nasty things throughout their history, doesn't mean you still can't take pride in it...

Some time ago, I received funny/offensive comments quite often because I'm white (I lived in a place where the most of the people has brownish-coloured skin), so I understand your point and if somebody complains, which is reasonable and fair, about the "classic racism", white people can also complain about other kinds of racism towards themselves.

The problem is that there is so many people that refuse to include this last category into the "racism" group, as if it were impossible for a black person to be racist, because they are supposed to be always the victims. Racism "hasn't a colour of skin".

However, this is not the "fanboyism" meant to be discussed here, and I don't want that things start to look ugly.

Thank you for your contributions.

Here, fanboy is an insult and that's what matters.

I thought you banned people for saying the f-word (f*nboy), so why are you saying it?
