@procrastinato

dont be such a troll. he clearly states that is exactly what is not going to happen. it wont be shoe horned in, but something from halo could come into natal... maybe a rts for instance.

That's true, Halo Wars could actually benefit a lot from that kind of interface.  I forgot that Halo had moved beyond the realm of the FPS.

And you forgot that Halo was originally an RTS.

Mike. I don't know what you're reading but you seem to be part of the group that's giving a knee-jerk reaction to Natal. Don't feel so insecure about this. No-one is suggesting traditional controls will be replaced other than this group of knee-jerkers. It's funny how scared people are of moving forward or simply having an extra choice.

Also it's not just the 360 crowd that was dissmisive of "waggle" or even the most dissmisive. I hope you'll be as critical of other rivals motion controls as well.

If they could have read that in the original post then they would have.
Re-posting it wont make any difference.

yes blackops is getting out of control, PS3 fans aren't like that!

@Kowenicki

Halo can evolve with NATAL

Ms knows this, MS knows its how hardcore will definetely get NATAL

I expect some huge news on that front, plus prenteding your holding a gun & then shooting with pretend triggers would be cool....if thats possible

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

There are other potential as well. One of the ways that Natal can really shine is being used in conjunction with traditional controllers.
For example a quick hand motion to reload your weapon. Or maybe a twist of the wrist to throw something or open a door, while you keep on using the regular controller.

They aren't going to be able to combine the two interfaces.  The idea is that its a control-less interface, not an augmentation.

Actually, this is up to the developer.

"Hacked in or quick to market ideas are not what we're looking for, We want to make sure that those experiences are world class."

"We're not going to hack something into Halo to get it to support Natal, We want to make sure we can only offer rich experiences."

As long as they are true those statements I will be happy (that includes Sony following the same guide lines). I'm not a fan of motion control in its current form but that is simply because it hasn't worked for any of the kind of games I like to play. I'm still not sure how Natal or the Wand will be well incorporated into the games I enjoy but I appreciate the technology is still relatively new and would be happy to be proved wrong in the future.

Wow, looks like the next Halo really WILL be Combat Evolved!

Also, does this mean that virtual teabagging is just around the corner? Ugh!

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

It seems motion control is here to stay so with all 3 utilising it the experiences should improve and integration become more 'natural' feeling.

The problem is unless you own all 3 types of motion control you're inevitably going to see it used on another machine in a way that you want on yours.

Bill Gates already mentioned that Natal is coming to PC

True. I forgot about that. with PC development as well could help Natal devs come up with new ways to use the tech. Sony devs for instance working with Natal on the PC could find ways to use their motion controls.

This could back fire as it could open up all of Natals secrets for them :)
