I'd get the Conduit. The controls are really good and the game could use another sale.

Punchout is exactly like the original Punchout game that you remember. The key word is exactly.

obviously you couldn't get past Mr. Sandman.

No.  I got past Mr. Sandman and did all of the title defenses.  It's just that the controls weren't responsive enough to me without holding the Wii Remote sideways.  I wanted a retro game with a modern feel to it and got a retro game with a retro feel to it.  I'm not saying that it's a bad game.  It's just not what I was hoping for.

You should have payed attention to Nintendo's original announcement then. They made it quite obvious this was a throwback game for old Nintendo fans. Honestly, it plays like a dream and has a ton more content then the original and is better in every way.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Yeah.  You're probaly right about me not paying attention to Nintendo's announcement.

Nobody's perfect.  Not even me.

its hard to choose, i will go the conduit because of Online, and Punch Out for fun arcade style gameplay

Online in The Conduit could have been good if it wasn't so slow to get into a game and there were no hackers.. CoD: WaW has a much better online component IMO.

My advice is to save your money, there are a few better titles releasing in the next couple of months

As much as I feel like I'm betraying Punch Out!!, you'll definitely get more play time out of The Conduit.

I suggest you buy The Conduit and drop 500 Wii points on the original Punch Out!! on the VC! It's the best compromise, and the original still holds up quite well.

This.

Conduit gave me a migraine (never had this problem w any other game).

Punch Out is short in normal mode but fun & a good time with friends.
The replay value comes from hard mode which is quite the challenge. And of course from playing w friends.

You might want to buy the original game on VC for $5 or Super Punchout for $8 and see if you like the game before investing $50 on it. Because Punch Out Wii is almost identical to previous versions, especially the orignal, it is a good measure to see if it is a good investment.

Hm I was thinking of getting Punch out on VC though Mario 64 and metroid and star fox 64 so you want me to make a thread about mario 64 or starfox 64 or metroid and punch out? great I'm going to be busy. Also does the condut has split screen?
