Forums - Gaming - BBC 4 / iPlayer: Charlie Brooker's Gameswipe

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00n1j8q

For those of you able to watch it, it's a really funny look at gaming. It's on tonight (Thursday) at 11:20pm on BBC4 and available on the iPlayer for another 5 days. I think most gamers will find this funny. Charlie Brooker is responsible for zombie big brother mini-series Dead Set, it also has comedian Dara O'Brien from Mock the Week discussing GoW and GTA 4.

How many BBC channels are there? Do they all have unique programming or do they air programs from each others channels?

BBC1 and 2 are the main ones. BBC3 and 4 have a mix of repeats and new programming, but often experimental in nature (short series) and those series that are successful are then aired on BBC1.

Dara O'Brien talking about video games = AWESOME.

I'll watch this after dinner.

There are also the BBC News/Parliament channels too, and CBBC and CBeebees

Around the Network

10 TV channels in total.

They do all have unique content but share content too. Repeats, early viewings, bbc1 cuts to bbcnews at certain times of the day.

BBC is just awful! They have no intensives to make good shows as they guaranteed government funding no matter what rating they get.

I dont know about "most" but certainly many of them are, there news coverage is also good (though at times biased like any)
