Personally I'm not amazed by Versus 13 like I am with FF13 yet.....but the main character is the epitome of cool!

Userbase dones not affect FFXIII sales. FFXII did lower than FFX 1st week despite has 4x more userbase. I expect 2.0 million 1st week

Well jrpg's have been getting less popular, maybe that's a factor.

That's isn't exactly true. They may not have the genre power that they did a few years ago, but since WRPG went the console way, they have been more mainstream in the RPG genre, competing with JRPG's and garnering more fans from that side of the genre. But there has been lot's of indicators too, that JRPG's are still as well accepted as they have always been, especially in Japan.
Taking out the account that they do poorly on the 360, the most singular case that you have is ToV which had the strongest opening week of all Tales games in the past years, on a system which had the lowest user base in the past years as well.
As I said, there are a lot of factors that cannot be mislooked in this kind of predicitions, especially since we're talking about a genre defining game like Final Fantasy.

FF 13 please have a steady framerate ffs!

I have a bad feeling about ff13, im gonna install to harddrive and buy a a 7200 rpm hard drive for my ps3 just to make sure the game does not lag at all, because i have a feeling im gonna see a bit of last remnant style code!

Predictions

GT5 will sell 3.2million + first week on ps3 (made 06 March 2010)

FFXIII Versus will have higher Metacritic scores than FFXIII after the first month.... Bet going on with perpride - loser changes sig for a month

KH3 will be PS3 EXCLUSIVE - willing to bet removal from vgchartz for a month

When will people learn? Time and time again PS3 has shown to not be comparable to PS2 when it comes to high-profile game sales. And lowest since which FF? FF VII you say? The highest selling FF of all time with over 10 million sales?

 

And I've been saying it since 2006 and will still stick by it: FF XIII will sell 2 million week 1 in Japan.
