No most definitely not.
The IW games are just the best FPS available and all their games are godlike. Same for Valve, Bungie etc.
I've played about 100-150 different FPS and I know what makes a shooter mediocre, good, great or absolutley awesome.
people all have their own opinions, but if you look at the sales and how until COD5 came COD4 was the most played game on Xbox Live- I think it should be said that COD4 (untill MF2) is the King of FPS's.
No it not overrated at all, if you don't like the game just don't play it. The Cod series is great and the best fps series imo.

the point is bad gamers can win in cod4 no skill is involved, thats why its such a hit. cod2 that one is the best cod ever, your skill is the deciding factor
