very fun but when you die you gotta start the hole level all over again, when you beat the game there is no reason to play it again, there's no replay value but overall its a good game
People who call a beat em up brawler like Madworld clearly never played beat em ups before..IT's SUPPOSED TO BE REPETITIVE.
You can't put that as a con since it was aimed at doing that.

Yeah but beat them all have variety in ennemy and attacks... madworld doesnt... its always the same move since the beggining of the game... only your choice to change... in general in beat em all you get new attacks or at least... new ennemy that make you use news moves or anything.... i mean... madworld was the same all the way !
If you think you're gaming too much, Game even more !
4/10
Fantastic art-style and good controls, but way over-the-top, and way too short... plus, the PAL version has a very, very poorly executed voice-acting in french, which damaged the overall experience...
Btw, it's the ONLY Wii game i've bought day one, and isn't in my collection anymore: it tells you something... for me, a rental would have been enough, but i wanted to support the ex-Clover guys... i kinda regret it, but i should have known better, as i don't like violence in general... even if i like movies like Sin City or Old Boy, by example...

3 - The game gets a 3 for playing relatively smoothly. It gets no higher than a 3 because after 1.5-2 hours of play I didn't enjoy this game for a minute. The art looked interesting to begin with, but something about gore and a bunch of steroid pumped lunatics reminds me of being 11 again and playing Mortal Kombat 2 at the arcade - I felt, while the game was "M" rated, that it felt like a game created for children/teens who are impressed with swearing and violence rather than a game of any depth; I felt uncomfortable playing it with that thought in mind. In other words, a violent game about steroid pumped psychopath doesn't grab my interest anymotlre, and hasn't for a very long time.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
8.5.
The game may be "short", but it's no shorter than most any other classic beat-em-up game. As for people who played it only an hour and a half or so, those people have missed out on what is actually a really well put together story for a game of this type.
And over-the-top violence is fun once in a while.
