Forums - Sony - The PSP Go Launch

I believe SNE initial shipment is rather low to test the waters. The device looks inexpensive to make, so whatever they sell is bound to make some return. Its not an atari ET moment where there are 50 million PSP go sitting out there and they are force to bury them in the Arizona desert.

Is that a fact? Sounds like major littering if true

I'll get a idea at work tomorrow. I've been on vacation the last week but I'll see how many we get (if any) and sell (if any). I heard we (Wal-Mart) weren't getting any. It wasn't in our flyer either.

We'll see.

It's just that simple.

I predict long term failure with mild chances of getting hopes up before the final letdown.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

haha

it doesn't really matter though, as long as more psp3000s sell, it accomplished it's goal. Sony even said so.

LOL!  Sadly, I think that's exactly what the PSPGo is gonna do... parents will look at the price tag of it, and then see the 3000 model at nearly $100 cheaper and then go "OK, we'll take that one!"

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

i got it today. It's pretty small and light. I was surprised at how small it actually is. Photos on the web dont do it justice. Once you have it in your hands its very small and light. Same size as an iphone and alot lighter then one. Its almost weightless.

At the moment im enjoying it. It's pricing and i wouldnt recommend people to buy it if they have UMDs. I still have my old PSP-1000 that i will play UMDs on if the need arises. But this PSP Go! sure is a more portable device. Slides right into the pocket unlike the older models.
