Certainly it's a great game, at least that's what most reviews state so far but I don't know why people get so excited about the Metacritic ranking so early on in the piece, or at all for that matter.

Uncharted 2 on 98, currently around 10 point improvement upon Uncharted 1. Uncharted 2 is a must buy game for its single player campaign alone. The multi-player part of the game is an added bonus for online gamers. Game reviews are mainly based on the single player campaign of Uncharted 2.

I know, I know, CGI it brings a tear to my eyes, too. 98% From 20 reviews!!! Lets hope it keeps it up.

What you say is true, but I actually prefer the way Gamerankings translates "letter" scores. For example, Gamerankings numerically differentiates an A or A+ score from 1up, where as Metacritic scores both as 100. 

I have to agree with that point.  Even though I use Meta more often than GR I really do hate how Meta translates letter scores.

I hope so. I can't hardly wait to play this game already, I hate myself for watching that 15 mins clip...

They left out the two highest scoring sexclusives this gen!  For comparison:

According to this, it scored higher than LBP at Eurogamer and CVG, and the same everywhere else. It scored higher than SMG at CVG and 1UP, lower at IGN, and the same everywhere else.

These are the two highest scoring exclusives this gen, and they should've been used as the best barometer, imo. Assuming reviews stay pretty consistent, the game should end up somewhere between a 95 and a 97, falling between these two titles.

The article writer also spelled "Thieves" wrong.

Metacritic scores an A as a 95.  Just look at their score for Super Mario Galaxy.

There will be an issue with uncharted 2 remaining at 98. They no longer include x-play, while those other games have X-play. X-play should be removed from those titles as well.
