Great work!  I could see Halo 3 moving up to the 13-14 spot in a bout a year, that is if the couple games above it don't sell that much (which looks like they won't) or if another game doesn't outsell it (can't think of any except for maybe a nintendo game or two, MW2, Halo: Reach)

Wii Sports Resort, New Super Mario Bros Wii and Wii Wit Plus will negate the move up 3 spaces keeping it at 17.  MW2 has a chance to push it to 18.

I doubt Wii Sports will pass it since its not bundled this time, and a lot of people who already own Wii Fit plus probably won't be picking Wii Fit Plus up.  They could sell more but I highly doubt it.  and MW2 definitely will sell more.

WSR won't outsell Halo? Wager?

I'll bet that both WF+ and WSR will outsell Halo 3 and they'll do it fast too. WSR will hit 10 M within a year of it's release.

Actually upon looking at WSR I think it can outsell Halo 3 (I thought it was only around 1-2 million total so far) but its at 4.5 million so I could definitely see it outselling Halo 3.  Not sure about WF+ though.  Isn't it pretty much Wii Fit with better 1 on 1 tracking or something and a few extra modes?

WF+ is replacing the Wii Fit bundle, which has already sold 8.5 million units this year and has a 40% attach ratio with the Wii. Even if Wii Fit Plus does nothing but sustain balance board sales and nobody who already has Wii Fit upgrades to it, it would likely challenge Halo 3's total sales about a year after release.

25 million Wii sales ~= 10 million Wii Fit w/ balance board sales. Throw in a few million upgraders (like me) and watch Wii Fit Plus ship more copies than Halo 3.

Ok i was under the impression the the original Wii Fit would still be selling too.  But since its not and WF+ will be the only Wii Fit out there I could see it outselling Halo 3.

But god damn thats depressing lol, I want Halo 3 to be in the top 15 most sold games, but it looks like the best it can do is move up to 16th place if its lucky.

At least there's still hope for Halo: Reach!!

Nintendo has stated many times that WSR, WF+ and NSMB Wii will all be 10 million sellers.

Not statement sot be made without absolute confidence. WSR is practically half way there and we haven't even hit the holidays yet. WF+ is taking over Wii Fit. And NSMB Wii is the first side scrolling flagship Mario game on a home console in over 15 years.

10 million each is practically guaranteed. Then as we've agreed MW2 will reach over 10 million. This leaves Halo 3 several places out of the top 15.

I like the Gears 2 summary.

I really like that dark tint that you have around each banner and description. How'd ya do it?

Total Nintendo domination. lol. Nintendo are geniuses. Don't hate on them. The gaming industry has neglected females for so long and Nintendo just happened to take advantage of that untapped market this generation. All this "screw Nintendo. grr I'm hardcore, I like to game in HD! Next-Gen! Blu-Ray! I pwn n00bs online!" stuff is just sad to see from grown men. So you're a self-proclaimed hardcore gamer? Want a cookie? Who cares? Gaming is about fun at the end of the day and I consider it a good thing that more people are playing video games.

This!

Smeags,

It's just a table. 1 column, 10 rows, 700 width, centered. That's all I set, and it came out looking like that.

Your 2009 million-sellers thread did inspire my presentation. People should check that one out.

Of course now with another week of numbers out, this thread is outdated before it's completed, but oh well. I will complete it with week old numbers, and then probably update it in a few weeks.
